Company information: Lost Boys Camp

By continuing your booking with Lost Boys Camp acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with these terms then you must not continue with your booking.

When you book with Lost Boys Camp, a contract is made once you have paid and we issue you with a confirmation email. In the case of late telephone bookings, when written/email confirmation is not possible then it will be a verbal contract.

If you are making a booking on behalf of other participants you guarantee that you have the authority to accept and do accept these terms on behalf of the other participants in your party. By booking on behalf of other participants you are confirming that you have consent to disclose their personal details (such as medical and dietary requirements). By booking on behalf of other participants, you are deemed to be the designated contact person for every participant included on the booking. This means you are responsible for making all payments due in connection with the booking, notifying Lost Boys Camp of any changes or cancellations that are required.

All participants must complete a booking form and sign an acknowledgement of risk waiver before they take part in any activity. For anyone under the age of 18 this must be completed by a parent, guardian or responsible adult authorized by the parent or legal guardian. We will do our utmost to cater for any special requirements you may have. If you or anyone in your group booking has any medical conditions or disability which may affect your booking, please provide us with full details during the booking stage to ensure we are the right fit for you.  If we are unable to properly accommodate the needs of the person(s), we will not confirm the booking.

The full fee is due at the time of booking. We accept payment by all major credit and debit cards. All prices are accurate at the time of publication and Lost Boys Camp reserves the right to increase or reduce any of these prices any time after release. Please refer to the website for the most up-to-date price list. If we do not receive full payment, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled.

In some cases we will accept payment plans, we will secure your place on the camp after the first installment. A payment plan will be sent to you with dates that the payments will be required, payment will be taken on these dates using the initial payment details.

Changing your booking

We will make every effort to adapt your booking, however this must be done 21 days before the camp starts.  To transfer your booking to another person (friend/family member), we will need their name, booking information, acknowledgement of risk waiver signed, terms and conditions signed, 2 weeks before the camp.

If you have a group booking and want to reduce the booking numbers you must have informed us 2 weeks before the start of the camp otherwise you will have to pay for the remaining places.

Cancellations

You must inform us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel your place on a camp. If you cancel more than 21 days before the camp starts you will receive a 50% refund. If it is less than 21 days then there is no refund available.

We reserve the right to cancel or change your booking due to safety considerations and factors beyond our control. If we need to cancel your booking we shall use reasonable endeavors to notify you as soon as possible. If we cancel your booking we will allow you to rebook onto another camp or have a full refund.

If a host drops out of the camp we reserve the right to replace them with another guest host. We will notify you of this change as soon as possible.

If you are forced to leave the camp early, we cannot refund the cost of the remaining camp.

Any special requests must be advised to us at the time of booking on the booking form e.g diet, allergies & intolerances. We will make every effort to ensure the request is filled. Failure to meet any special requests will not be a breach of contact on our part unless we have specifically confirmed the request.

Surf conditions

In the rare event that the sea or weather conditions are too dangerous to surf, we will perform other activities such as surf skating, skateboarding, classroom activities to ensure you are still learning and getting the most out of the camp.

We will ensure that you get the best surf conditions so we may change up the daily plan if required. If it is flat we will do other sessions like stand up paddle boarding, skating etc. We may adjust the format of the camp to ensure you get the most out of your trip. We will supply as much notice as possible under these circumstances. We may postpone a weekend if we cannot offer adequate water/learning time.

By booking you have acknowledged that the activities you will take part in are physically challenging and participation is not without risk. You are responsible for ensuring that you and your group are physically fit enough to take part in any booked activity.

Any external activities that you take part in such as but not limited to stand up paddle boarding, kayaking etc are not part of your contracted arrangements with us. We are not responsible for the provision of the excursion and you must follow their terms and conditions and safety disclaimers. Our activities and camp are in an natural environment with factors we cannot control such as animals, weather, plants etc. We cannot be held responsible for these activities or the dangers that you may experience. We try our best to ensure safety is the main priority however caution must be taken at all times. It is understood that you agree to these dangers when booking.

Photography

We may use any likeness or image of you secured or taken on any of our camps without charge in all media for legitimate promotional or marketing purposes, such as brochures, leaflets, videos & social media. If you would prefer us not to use these then please inform us in writing before your camp.

Behavior

All customers must conduct themselves in an appropriate and acceptable manner throughout the camp and must not disrupt the enjoyment of others. The camp is an alcohol and drug free zone. Smoking is not permitted apart from in the designated smoking area. If you are deemed to be breaking camp rules and your behavior is causing distress, danger, annoyance or damage to property, we reserve the right to terminate your booking with us immediately. We will have no further obligations to you and/or your party. No refund will be made.  You/ your group may also be required to pay for loss and damages caused, each member of the group will be held jointly responsible.

Food

Food and drink are available for you throughout your stay. Please inform us on the booking form and at the earliest date possible of any allergies or intolerances to ensure we are able to cater for you.

Age restrictions

We do not take children under the age of 8 surfing.  Children will be accepted if they are able to swim and are comfortable surfing a variety of conditions on their own.

If anyone in your group are under the age of 18 they must have parental consent (or consent from a legal guardian or responsible adult authorized by the parent or legal guardian) to take part in the activity. A parent, guardian or authorized adult will be required to complete a waiver on behalf of all customers under the age of 18. If they are aged 15 or under they must have an adult stay with them on site.

We endeavor to ensure that all the information and prices we display are accurate, however occasionally changes and errors occur and we reserve the right to correct prices and other details in such circumstances.

We reserve the right to make amendments to these terms and conditions from time to time at our sole discretion. A copy of the latest version of our terms and conditions will always be available on our website. Once you accept a version of the agreement, we will not enforce future material changes without your express agreement to them. We shall notify of any changes made.

If you do have any problems during your camp, please inform the camp host immediately who can endeavor to put things right. If you do wish to complain about anything it must be within 28 days of your camp end date.

Acknowledgement of Risk

It is important that you read the following carefully and understand this acknowledgement of risk. You will not be permitted to take part in any camp or activity run by Lost Boys Camp, unless this waiver has been completed. If you are under the age of 18 years old, the waiver must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.

All participants  who take part in Lost Boys Camp activities, take part voluntarily and at their own risk. Lost Boys Camp will not be held responsible for damage or injuries to persons or loss of their possessions, unless proven to be caused by their negligence.

Surfing is physically challenging and carries risks that we cannot entirety eliminate, including damage to property, personal injury and in extremely rare circumstances, even fatalities. You will reduce these risks by following the guidance and instructions provided by the Lost Boys Camp team. If during a session we believe you are not competent in those conditions and may put yourself or others at risk, we reserve the right to remove you from the session without refund or compensation.

At camp there are activities such as a skate ramp, sauna and ice bath and also camping. You understand and acknowledge the risks associated with these activities and camping with Lost Boys Camp. Lost Boys Camp have undertaken sufficient and reasonable checks with external agencies to determine the safety and maintenance of the woodland but confirm that due to the nature of the site and even with professional management it is impossible to state that a tree is 100% safe in adverse weather conditions and are subject to unpredictable laws and forces of nature.

While we take every precaution for the safety of participants. All outdoor activities & the camps have an inherent risk, persons participating in activities or camp activities do so at their own risk. In the absence of negligence no claims shall be made or entertained by Lost Boys Camp in respect of injury or loss arising there from.

By signing this waiver you agree that you use the camp facilities & activities (including surfing) at your own discretion and you will listen to the safety briefing provided to you upon arrival.
